You’re here because you’re curious about the history of refinishing.
Bathtubs can be made a bunch of different materials, including cast iron, steel, fiberglass, acrylic, copper, and even wood! But clawfoot bathtubs – tubs with “clawed” ball feet – are traditionally made from cast iron.
A couple from Weymouth gave us a call that they had an old soaking tub in their basement that was in pretty bad shape, and they wanted us to refinish it for them. This was going to be the eye-catching piece in their newly refinished tile bathroom. They put the tiny tub on their front lawn, and Mark went to pick it up. After a trip up the elevator the old school soaker was in the tent and ready to go.
Check out this video of Mark restoring the tub:
After it was dried, Mark took several photos and sent them to the customer. A few touch ups later and the tub was back at their house and ready for a nice soak!
“Thank you so much New Look for taking such an old item and giving it new life! I am so excited to showcase this unique tub in my home!”

A few months ago, we had a new logo made up for the company. Since then, we’ve been in the process of swapping all company products, documents, and promotional material over to the new logo. The next step was to have one of our new technician’s vans lettered!
Have you ever seen one of those old-style tubs with the feet on the bottom with the shiny enamel? Don’t they look so homey and classic? Ever want one for your own home? We restore and sell those tubs! They’re called clawfoot bathtubs.
